The Ulysses Club AGM 2009 Event is just around the corner. This year the Annual General Meeting is being held in Penrith Valley between March 16-22.
For the one or two of you out there who don't know what it's all about, well, put simply, it's an invaluable opportunity for local businesses and tourism operators to promote their services or products to a captive audience of around 4,000 people who will be visiting the area for the week.
Yep, that's right, organisers are expecting up to 4,000 motorbike enthusiasts to visit Penrith during a seven day period.
We here at Council are doing what we can to make all these people feel welcome and we're also putting on several Explorer Bus services to take interested visitors on a tour of some of our major attractions.
They'll also be a free Penrith CBD (Central Business District) shuttle bus service available to all Ulysses members plus a special display in the Penrith Valley Visitor Information Centre and in the foyer of the Penrith City Council Civic Centre, all designed to make every visitor feel welcome.
The Penrith City Centre Association is also doing its part by producing a selection of 'Welcome Ulysses' posters and making them available to local shops to place in their window.
If you wish to find out more about how you or your business can get more involved in welcoming all Ulysses members to our great city, then give me a call on 47327 466 and I'll either help you directly or at the very least...point you in the right direction.
